NOT FOR SALE

Allot of time blogs are used to sell a board, And that is cool. But I put a photo of a board that I plan to keep. The board is 10'-6". I love to ride this board when it is small and when you just want to trim. I have also rode some fair size as well which takes on a whole different dimension. Oh and that there is no labels or decals which makes it seem timeless. Surf On!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BIONIC MAN

Matt Albers has recently had hip replacement surgery. The photo above is Matt before the operation at Church's. Below are his new Bionic parts. The good news is that Matt is already back paddling on his board 3 weeks after the surgery. Its only a matter of time that Matt putts his quiver as shown below back to use. Shaka Kahn Matt.

ABSENT

Today is the last day of Winter. It made me think of the lack of storm swells and fickle spots that only break on the rare occasions. The above photo is from last year at the CDM Harbor entrance finger jetty. Last year at this time we had record rain fall and terrible urban runoff. This year we had record rain fall (Lack Of ) . What will next winter bring? I guess that is one of the things that keeps keeps surfing so interesting.

Home Alone

Richard Wolcot Volcom founder and CEO and rippimg surfer

Sometimes I like to go to this spot where I grew up. It is usually smaller if it is even breaking at all due to Island blockage. But there is something about surfing with just you and your two bros and not dealing with the crowd, Today was one of those days, Richard Wolcott "Wooley" The DR. and myself just having fun.
