Its SUPper Time

The lineups are seeing more and more SUP's these days. I have a feeling that the issue, can they co exist with conventional surfing is far from over. This is part 1 of todays post i will put part 2 up a little later.

We try to stay to the left or to the right of the Forbidden " Blackies PArking lot spot" to keep the tension down. However there are a few idiots who just paddle board in the middle pack out there and ruinit for everyone. "We come in peace not war" Sorry for the real kooks on SUP's

You guys were getting some fun waves I was not taking sides by my post just telling it like it is. There is some definite tensions similar to the early snowboard days.My good friend is a avid SUP rider and have seen him ride some quality waves on his Dan taylor SUP but then I have seen him ride almost every discipline from short ,long tow and SUP well. So I guess you might have said it in your comments its not about the people who can surf but its about the ones that don't have a clue. All I can say is respect the surfers around you have a good time and surf on.

No offense taken at all. Just wanted to make a post that I try to tell everyone who buy s boards at our shop to never go into crowds and if it is crowded go to either side of them and give them space. I know of a handful of good surfers that are taking up Paddle Boarding for the workout and just another tool to be out on the water. When it is small and high tide it is really a blast.

At blackies the tension is very high however blackies has always been a spot for beginners and sometimes begginer SUP paddlers think they can just paddle out there in the pack. I will do my best to keep everyone informed and if you need a demo board we have plenty. Never know you might love it.

Its like when snowboards and skiers had their battle.
