Give it a try somtime putting a dolphine fin " very short wide base fin" in your hull and ride a small clean beach break day. Today the water was super warm,clear with crisp two foot waves. Took out my 7'-0 Liddle with the dolphine fin and had a blast. When the waves are short in lenght and small and do not provide room to load a flex fin the dolphine fin is a great alternitive. You will find yourself using your rail to hold trim.
