Rode my 9-0 log today back from up north. A little local front and small wind swell provided some "Sunday Slop"

Many Points

Had to travel northbound for a family party and managed to wake up early and surf one of California's "Many Points". The sunrise was beautiful.

Sure the surf was small but with a log on top of the car and the conditions so nice, I managed a surf for a couple of hours.

Not to many people around just me and the birds.

One other guy out from Pismo beach. Ex OC transplanted up north after retirement.

I found complete "Pleasure" riding my new Liddle during this late season south.

Yes the direction was good and so were the waves. " It only took a few" to be completely stoked.

Open Minded

When choosing a board I try to keep "Open Minded". Not always going with the fad but not steering away from the fad either. I have been riding hull designs for a few years now and its a design I enjoy in and out of the fad. I love boards that trim and that feel even when your just standing there appreciating the wave. Not nose riding or carving a turn off the tail . Sure I love nice turns and noes rides and of course barrels but the feel of trim is equally as rewarding. Well almost, A good barrel is pretty much the best. The board shown is a 7'9" shaped by Marc Andreini. I have owned this board for awhile and plan to keep it. It may not be what your into and thats OK . Its the difference in the water that keeps the lifestyle evolving. If everyone was forced to ride pop outs the same color and shape we would probably be doing something else. Surf On Jdub

Today we had alittle photo session setup with the hope the offshores would hit. No such luck grey skys and small waves. Still managed to have fun and shoot quite a few frames. I rode 4 different boards including the vintage white owl shown above with chille. Also managed a few on the Liddle. All in all a good time and thanks to Dino for taking the time to shoot.

Style Counts

Started the AM down at the other end of Newport where I surfed most of the week but today it was good but packed . I was not in the mood to grovel so I headed to Blackies to get some logging in. The condions were good and wave were super fun. Blackies has a real good crew of longboarders that display that "Style Counts" for somthing. Its all about having fun anyways.
