Costa Mesa is one of the last cool towns in Ca. were they still let the kids enjoy fireworks at home

I am sure the upper streets were good today. Evevn the mid streets has some good ones.

Crosstown Traffic

Hometown in the AM was drained out low tide and south winds, so I headed crosstown for some point waves. Great sunny day super warm water and waves.

New South

After work I headed down to get the greese off. And yes the new south was filling in nicely. This guy got a nice shack.

Overhead sets and no signs of slowing. With this heat wave warm water the next few days could be interesting.

Even one of Newports finest get snaked. Steve Toal was getting some good late drops and making some.

GOOD TIMES

Matt on Sunday when the wind stoped and the tide filled in. The early AM was greeted by south wind and drained out low tide. So the few that waited it out sure got some good ones.

Saturday day fever

Another day of NW wind swell. The winds were better than yesterday. Some good lefts and rights.

Hey Jeff you going to Dano's show tonight ? Were is it at ? The Hurleys warehouse on Placenta in Costa Mesa. What should I wear Matt ? I think some tight jeans and some cool high tops. Hey Jeff dont forget to put some of that gel in your hair. Ok Matt I see you there about 6:00pm.

Not only was it hot out the water temp was above 70. You cant beat that.

Even with all the people there were still some unriden ones. Very few.

Blackball

Today we still had some NW wind swell in the water. South wind gave it a bump but it was still fun. You can tell what the weekend is going to like, the "Black Ball" went up at 9:30. See everyone tomorrow. After 9:30 they forced everyone down to the jetty Jim Coons corner.
